This is a set of a kuksa and puukko handmade by Kuksa Parooni and a knife from Puukko Parooni.The knife has a blade made from carbon steel and a handle made out curly birch. The sheath is made from leather, birch bark, wood, and reindeer antler.The kuksa (wooden cup ) is made from a birch burr.
Puukko Parooni
Puukko Parooni is the pseudonym of Timo Laakso, a knife maker in Enontekiö, in the northwest of Finnish Lapland. He is the brother of Kuksa Parooni and they share the same work space. Timo has been making handicrafts from wood for decades and particularly excels in making puukot, traditional Finnish knives.
