Deliveries and Payment

Payment options

On checkout you can select different payment options. If you choose:

  • Invoice, we will send you an invoice after you have placed the order, and you can pay for your order via bank transfer. We will ship your products within 2 working days after your transfer has arrived on our account.
  • PayPal, you can pay for your order with your PayPal account.
  • Credit Cards, you may use your bank card or credit card for the payment. Please see the section below on the Payment provider.

 

Delivery methods, times, and fees

Standard shipping for international orders is via the Finnish postal service (Posti). Customers in Finland may alternatively choose Matkahuolto as delivery service. With both services the parcels will have a tracking code, and you will receive the tracking code once the parcels leaves our warehouse. Usually we ship within 2 working days after we receive your payment.

Average shipping time within Finland is 2-4 working days, and within Europe 3-7 working days.

The shipping cost depend on size and weight of your order, and you will find the exact shipping rates on checkout. For orientation, expect approximately the following shipping cost:

Domestic shipping
  • Domestic shipping
    • Matkahuolto: 6,50 Euro
    • Posti: 9,90 Euro
  • Åland
    • Matkahuolto: 14,90 Euro
  • It also possible to pick up your order in Hetta/Enontekiö (no shipping costs). Since we don't have a physical store, please contact us first for an appointment to collect your order.
International shipping
  • International Shipping - Baltics (EST, LAT, LIT):
    • Posti: 11,90 Euro
  • International Shipping - Europe:
    • Posti: 19,90 Euro

The parcels will be shipped to your nearest postal pick up point.

  • We ship worldwide. If you don't find your country in the list or on checkout, please inquire for the shipping costs before you place your order.
  • Please note that for orders outside the European Union/EEA area additional fees for customs may arise when the goods arrive at the destination country, for which we cannot be held responsible. If you would like to know more about this, please contact the customs authorities of your country.
  • Please note that certain items (e.g. knives or products of animal origin such as leather or antlers) are forbidden to be shipped to some countries. Please check with your customs authorities which products are forbidden to be sent to your country. If a product gets returned because it is forbidden to be shipped to your country we cannot refund the shipping costs.

 

Cancellation and Refund terms

Right to cancel

As a consumer you have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason within 14 days after receiving your order (e.g. after pick from your post office). Please note, that you have to cover the shipping for the return yourself. When your product arrives back, and we have checked the it has not been used and still is in a new condition, we will return you the price of the product and the costs of the cheapest available shipping option for you (If you choose a more expensive or express delivery, we are not obliged to cover the extra shipping costs.

Please note that the above mentioned rights only refer to private customers, but that costumer protection rights do not apply for commercial buyers.

How to return a product or order

Please contact our customer service at orders@lapland.shop to agree on the return procedures. Customer returns within Finland must be handled through Posti using a return code. If the product arrives damaged or the product differs significantly from the order you made, we will cover the damage or return. Please contact us before you return so we can agree on the return shipping method.

Product returns within Finland in accordance with these terms are free of charge. For returns from abroad to Finland the customer must handle the shipping in a suitable manner and cover the resulting costs.

We will not cover shipping if you choose express shipping or a shipping method we have not agreed to beforehand.

Neglecting or refusing to pick up or accept an order does not cancel the order or constitute exercising your right to return a product. Any return shipping costs caused by neglecting to pick up an order will be charged to the customer.

Please note that the handicrafts we are selling are handmade and unique. We measure the size and weight of the items we are selling, but please allow for minor deviations of the actual size or weight stated in the product description.

Refund

Once we have received the product back and were able to assess the condition of the product is still new, we will initiate the refund. The returned products must be unused, in the original packaging and fit for retail.

If the product wears signs of use or damage, we will deduct the loss of value for the refund. The refund will be carried out via bank transfer, unless we agree to a different method of refund.

  • Instructions on how the consumer can contact you regarding a return.
  • Information on whether the consumer bears the cost of returning part or all of their order.
  • Information explaining that in case of refund, the refund will be made back to the original payment method used in the order (not, for example, by bank transfer).

 

Payment Service Provider for Credit Cards

Currently you can either pay via bank transfer (please select "invoice" as payment method on checkout), with a PayPal account, or by Credit Card. The current provider for credit card payments is PayPal. Please refer to PayPal for information on privacy and how your data is treated. We do not collect or store any payment details when you order via PayPal or credit card.
